planting, part 2

If you read my blog regularly (there's got to be at least one of you, right??) you may recall a post I wrote last March about church planting. (you can click those words for a refresher)

Well, I'm happy to say that things have been progressing in that area. We haven't made it widely known, but Alex and I are preparing to plant a church within the next two years.
We are very excited and very humbled to be a part of such a great opportunity. I can hardly believe that we are where we are. God works in amazing ways.

We have teamed up with a great group.
Bryan is an M.Div student at SEBTS. We met him on our mission trip to Mexico. He's a great guy with a heart for gospel-centered community.
Megan is his lovely wife. She's a nursing student with a heart of gold (and great style). She's passionate about discipleship and she's half-Peruvian! (let's hear it for the hispanics!)
Andy is also an M.Div student at SEBTS. He's a manly man and we are grateful for his servant's heart and sense of humor. Not to mention that awesome red beard.

That's our team so far. We've been attending events held by SendRDU, a ministry of our church, the Summit. They equip people to go out and plant churches both in the US and overseas. It's been exciting to get the ball rolling on this thing. We're in the early planning stages. Even though we're still two years away from planting, we have a lot of work to get done! So I'm asking you to be in prayer for us.

You may be asking where exactly we are going...well, we're going to Denver!
I know what you're thinking (especially you Miamians), why Denver??? That's a whole other blog post in itself. I'll be updating everyone periodically about our Denver church plant. And if you have an specific questions feel free to leave a comment.

Again, please be in prayer for us, for our team, for Denver, for guidance, for focus... We would really appreciate it. We love you guys! And we praise God for being an amazing, sovereign, mighty God. It's all because of Him.

Awesome post! So exciting!

I still think one of the coolest parts of this is that Driscoll's talk at the 20/20 conference was what made me think, "this is what I want us to do with our lives" as well! The Lord was moving long ago.

Babe you're so good with words. All I would of said is that we're going to Denver. And this is one of the many reason why I love you.
