Curtains

I have nothing to write about.

Nothing.

SO I'm going to write about curtains. :-) Alex and I very badly would like to hang curtains in our living room... mostly in hope that it'll help keep our little apartment just a little warmer. I don't think I want anything too dark in color. Maybe a heavier fabric would be best. I like the idea of using a funky pattern, but don't want to overdo it.
We also would like to keep this project as inexpensive as possible. I'm heading to a fabric store tomorrow to see what inspires me. If anyone out there has any advice on selecting cute non-expensive curtains or maybe an easy DIY, please let me know!

I'm a fan of the double-layer look, and I think that would allow you to use something darker/heavier behind if you need to (for warmth) and still find some cute, flimsy fabric for the top layer without it looking like too little. Whatever you go with, I'm sure it will turn out cute, as your decorating/creative projects tend to do. Want to come over and help me decorate? I dig your style :)

OMG. I always fall in love with UO's curtains! but I usually just get mine from IKEA because they always have sales! We got our living room curtains from there for $10 a pair, which is ridiculously cheap... and for my kitchen I just bought curtains and cut them to size. Good luck! there are so many cute ideas you could go with. And I'm sure they will look awesome, whatever you pick :)
