We leave for our honeymoon on Saturday, so my little project will have to be put on hold. But when I get back I'll start the tedious process of getting a new passport, social security card, etc.

So proud of you. I did it the week after my honeymoon.
However, Marcy (married almost 4 years) and Jeannine (married almost 8 years) still have not legally changed their names. Just jump in and get it over with. The biggest pain is not the DMV but the Social security office. Supposedly you can do it online somehow.
