...I'm so glad you and the baby are doing well!!

I was so sore after birth. I couldn't walk straight for a week -I walked with a hunched back. Lol. Even my ribs were sore. My midwife says Ellis must have bruised them a bit. Lovely!

You've received some great advice from these ladies. I'd just like to add that taking some magnesium, calcium tablets should help with your soreness. They help relax your muscles. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17932973.post-33544511577636090652011-08-08T12:49:12.410-06:002011-08-08T12:49:12.410-06:00love your little family! hoping everyone feels bet...love your little family! hoping everyone feels better soon!Steph & Dannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11032982222098809637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17932973.post-91269218612512131192011-08-08T11:51:14.902-06:002011-08-08T11:51:14.902-06:00Yay!, glad to hear you're doing well, if a bit...Yay!, glad to hear you're doing well, if a bit sore. Your body does go through an awful lot, after all! The good news is that most of the soreness/swelling/etc does go away in a couple of weeks. There'll be a few "things" that'll hang on for a bit longer, but overall by the time he's a month old you should be feeling pretty much back to normal (with bigger, heavier boobs and some added pudge somewhere)!

Take it easy, take care of that baby and make sure you're eating and drinking enough. Don't worry about the house or about entertaining people or about being rude if you don't feel up to doing something that someone wants you to do. You'll be back to normal soon enough...enjoy the early days...they're gone way too quickly!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11924662196042197585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17932973.post-15783179260298068682011-08-08T11:34:19.162-06:002011-08-08T11:34:19.162-06:00It's really great you have your mom with you t...It's really great you have your mom with you to help. The first couple weeks are rough, your body has gone through a lot. Make sure you just sleep, eat and drink lots of water. You don't need to worry about anything else, it can wait. :) I'm glad breastfeeding is going well for you. That makes things so much easier!

Levi and Liam will have to get together for a playdate when they get a little older... and the moms recover. :)Kortnie Wertzbaugherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08363661979407635210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17932973.post-59186857577430622272011-08-08T09:40:56.974-06:002011-08-08T09:40:56.974-06:00Hey,

I was not expecting that after all the earthy birthy stuff I read and watched and loved. Ask your midwife, but you can probably take some homeopathics: Arnica for the soreness and Ferrum Phos for the anemia (helps you hold on to iron). Maybe your mom can pick some up at Whole Foods or VitaminShoppe.Jenny Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12753904998001793248noreply@blogger.com
